The Brooklyn project started in May 2014 in Hong Kong and was completed in January 2015 in Santa Barbara, CA. Throughout the design process, the team faced various challenges, including maintaining the base's diminutive form while providing adequate support and stability for the light. This was overcome by molding weights inside the base, allowing it to maintain its form while accommodating additional weight and lowering the light's center of gravity.
